Wilfrid Laurier University, also known as WLU or Laurier, is one of the top 30 universities in Canada. It is a public university located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. However, it has a second campus located in Brantford which is a town in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Wilfrid Laurier University was established in 1960 and named in honor of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, who is the seventh Prime Minister of Canada. However, the motto of intuition says “Veritas Omnia Vincit” in Latin meaning “Truth conquers all” in English.

Wilfrid Laurier University offers up to five scholarships involving;

  1. The Farouk and Dawn Ahamed International Student Fellowship which is valued between $500 and $1500 per year and available to all international students
  2. The Walter Metzger Memorial Scholarship Fund is also valued in the range of $500 to $1500 per year and is available to any international student who comes to study under a study permit.
  3. Dr WJ Villaume’s scholarship is also valued at between $500 and $1500 and is open to any international student.
  4. The Inspiring Lives Scholarship is another scholarship program that is valued at between $500 and $1500 per year and is made available to every foreign student.
  5. The President’s Gold Fellowship is one of the best scholarship programs in Canada worth an annual cap of $5000, renewable annually, and awarded to international students with superior performance. It is required that each student eligible for the Scholarship must attain a GPA of 10.5 or higher based on the completion of a minimum of 5.0 full credits (10 courses) during the past academic year.

  3. After that, log in to your LORIS account to complete the application process. If you visit it for the first time, head to Loris’ website via https://loris.wlu.ca/.
  4. Submit any required documents
  5. Beware of updating the application
  6. Accept the offer of acceptance.
  7. After that, apply for residence.
  8. Submit your transcripts
  9. Finally, prepare to start university.
